Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) is a martial art and combat sport, which evolved from Japanese Jujutsu. Is utilises chokeholds and joint locks and is dependant on technique over strength, making it ideal for smaller people.
Made world famous by the Gracie family, who started the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) over 20 years ago, to showcase the art to the world, BJJ is now widely practised around the globe and continues to grow in popularity. It is often the grappling art used by many Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighters and MMA is the fastest growing sport in the world.
BJJ is also an effective form of self defence and training often combines techniques for both self defence and the rules of the sport.
We are proud to be the first ever BJJ club in Myanmar and hope you will join us to learn this exciting and fun martial art.
